Kruispunt Pauwelstraat-Broerstraat:

Een dag na het bombardement bekijken mensen de enorme ravage in de binnenstad. Twee vrouwen strompelen over de steenhopen in de Pauwelstraat. Verderop ligt het kruispunt met de Korte Molenstraat, Oude Varkensmarkt, Hout- en Broerstraat. In al deze straten is het beeld van verwoesting hetzelfde.

Intersection of Pauwelstraat-Broerstraat:

A day after the bombardment, people are looking at the enormous devastations in the inner city. Two women stumble across the heaps of bricks in the Pauwelstraat. Further on is the crossing of Korte Molenstraat, Oude Varkensmarkt, Houtstraat and Broerstraat. In all these streets, the scene of destruction is the same.
