Heyendaal in 1961:

In 1961 was de bouw van het Sint-Radboudziekenhuis (recht boven huis Heyendaal) nog in volle gang, terwijl de Medische faculteit (links van het midden) zijn voorlopige voltooiing naderde. 
Een groot deel van de tuin rondom huis Heyendaal was nog intact en hetzelfde gold voor de bossen in het zuidelijke gedeelte van het landgoed (uiterst rechts). Binnen enkele jaren zou echter ook hier de bebouwing oprukken, waardoor het karakter van het landgoed flink zou worden aangetast.
Uiterst linksboven op de foto staat het eerste universele laboratorium van de Wis- en Natuurkundefaculteit. In de jaren 1965-1972 verrees op de naastgelegen velden een kolossaal gebouw, waarmee de faculteit sterk werd uitgebreid. De gebouwen zullen in de komende jaren worden gesloopt.

Heyendaal in 1961:

In 1961, the building of the St. Radboud Hospital (on the right above Huize Heyendaal) was still going on, while the medical faculty (to the left of the middle) neared its tentative completion. A large part of the garden surrounding Huize Heyendaal was still intact, as were the forests in the southern part of the estate (on the far right). Within a few years, the building would however advance here as well, which would greatly damage the character of the country estate.
On the top left of the picture is the first universal laboratory of the faculty of mathematics and physics. In the years 1965-1972 a colossal building would arise in the adjacent fields, which meant a large increase to the faculty. The buildings will be broken down in the next few years.
