Hoek Hezelstraten-Houtstraat:

Een trieste blik op de verwoestingen op de hoek Stikke Hezelstraat-Houtstraat vanuit de Lange Hezelstraat, die geheel gespaard bleef. De ruïnes worden gedomineerd door de zwaar beschadigde Sint-Augustinuskerk, die mogelijk nog te redden was, maar in 1947 toch werd gesloopt. Uiterst rechts is de toren van de Sint-Dominicuskerk aan de Broerstraat te zien.

A sad view of the destructions on the corner Stikke Hezelstraat - Houtstraat seen from the Lange Hezelstraat, which was completed spared. The ruins are dominated by the heavily damaged church of St. Augustinus, which might possibly have been saved, but was demolished in 1947 anyway. To the utmost right the tower of the church of St. Dominicus in the Broerstraat can be seen.
