Molenstraat met verwoeste Sint-Canisiuskerk:

Bij het bombardement in februari werd een groot deel van de bebouwing aan het begin van de Molenstraat verwoest. De Sint-Canisiuskerk verloor zijn twee torens en kon nog gedeeltelijk worden gered. Van wat op deze ansicht te zien is, heeft alleen de naast de kerk gelegen pastorie de tand des tijds doorstaan.

During the bombardment in February, a large part of the buildings in the beginning of the Molenstraat were destroyed. The St. Canisius Church lost its two towers, but could still be partly saved. From what is shown in this postcard, only the presbytery adjacent to the church has survived the ravages of time.
